While you understand the importance of following up with people, you probably do not want to be an annoyance either.

Your prospects shouldn’t know that you are calling them to purposefully follow-up with them. When you follow-up you should call to touch base and see what’s going on in their lives. While the conversation is going, they will most likely ask you questions related to your business and life. This is unless, of course, you have already set a follow-up time and are calling about a specific matter of business.

We all want to feel important and special and when you think of people as more than money or numbers, you are going to see much better results. This all starts with your mindset and vision.

You need to stay focused on winning and focused on doing the actions that are necessary. If it is a retail contest, then you need to focus 90% on retail and 10% on recruiting. The same with recruiting. If the contest is recruiting, then you need to focus 90% on recruiting and 10% on retail.

You need to focus on this through the entire contest or you are not going to be able to get the results that you want. The more you focus on winning, the more your brain will bring you toward the things that you need to do to make it happen.

Make sure your mind knows you are going to get a break after you win the contest. Focus on the prize that you are going to get at the end and you are going to be much more motivated to take action and get it done.
